NEW FOR 2016, RETURNING IN 2017...

This year we introduced a new event to the PROPS CC calendar the PROPS Sportive.

​

The event was a huge success and we'd like to congratulate all of the riders that took part in the 1st ever PROPS Sportive this weekend. Despite months of preparation as this was our first year it was difficult to predict how it would all unfold; we certainly could not have hoped for better weather, it was almost too hot on the day!

 
As with the weather the event itself exceeded our expectations, we are delighted by how many of you came out to take on the challenging but picturesque Monmouthshire routes. With over 100 riders registered in advance and plenty more turning up on the day you helped to make the event a fantastic occasion.
 
We set out to create a ride that celebrated cycling and the values of Props Cycling Club and we had riders of all abilities taking part including a number taking on a Sportive for the first time coupled with some very accomplished cyclists representing a number of different cycling clubs. It was great to see so many of you taking in the scenery and staying around to enjoy a well earned beer and burger at the end! As a club we pride ourselves on not leaving riders behind and promoting the social side of cycling so it was great to see everyone chatting in the sunshine at the end and despite a couple of mishaps on route all riders could be accounted for!

After such a successful first event plans are already underway to repeat the occasion in 2017. Watch this space or keep an eye on the event website at www.propssportive.org for the latest updates.
