Majorca Trip 2018

Following the success of this year, PROPS CC are planning another trip to Majorca for 2018. A great opportunity to get some sunny training miles in ahead of the summer or as part of your Bristol to Bordeaux training plan.

Easyjet have just released details of the flights for Spring 2018. So a date has been set of Friday, 13th April till Tuesday, 17th April. This is a little later than last time as it avoids the Easter holidays, cost increases around the May bank holiday and the Majorca 312 Sportive so bike hire should be fine.

For those of you interested in coming now is the time to book flights, we will be flying on the following flights. The trip is open to all but accommodation will be limited I've provisionally booked rooms for 14 people so if you have any questions or concerns take a look at the overview below or feel free to drop me a message.

Outbound

Easyjet Bristol to Majorca (Palma) Flight No. EZY6039 Departs: Fri 13 Apr 06:05 Arrives: Fri 13 Apr 09:25

Return

Easyjet Majorca (Palma) to Bristol Flight No. EZY6040 Departs: Tue 17 Apr 10:00 Arrives: Tue 17 Apr 11:25

There are a few of us booked already so get in quickly while the flight prices are less than £100 for a return. Once booked if you could notify me (Paul Chapman) I'll start organising accommodation and bike hire. If you could let me know if you require a hire bike I'll need to know your frame size and bike preference - take a look at Tramuntana Tours for details.

What to expect

For the past couple of years I've been heading out to Majorca during spring in search of balmy weather, buttery smooth tarmac and picture perfect scenery. For those of you that have never been, Majorca delivers on these requirements in spades, it is consistently brilliant, it's no wonder that its become a the cycling equivalent of Mecca, popular with pros and amateurs alike.

View from Formenta Lighthouse

Having been a few times I've got a number of great routes that we can take while out there and the following 4 day schedule has worked really well proving to be very good value too. The schedule is just for indication, whilst the terrain does suit experienced riders, the gradients are manageable and the cycling isn't compulsory so beginners should not be put off!
